Dr. Darren Johnson

Dr. Darren Johnson, LPCC, LICDC-CS, is an experienced mental health professional currently serving as the President and Founder of Parakaleo Christian Clinical Counseling since June 2024. In addition, Dr. Johnson holds the position of Vice President on the Board of Directors at Pickaway Area Recovery Services, Inc., and contributes as an Associate Professor of Counseling and Psychology at Ohio Christian University, where involvement also includes roles as an Adjunct Professor and Curriculum Developer. Previous academic experiences include online adjunct professor and curriculum developer positions at Indiana Wesleyan University and Trevecca Nazarene University. Clinical expertise is demonstrated through past roles as a therapist at Catalyst Life Services and Director of Employee Assistance Program at The SourceOne Group. Dr. Johnson's educational background includes a PhD in Psychology from Capella University, an MA in Clinical Counseling from Ashland University, and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Mount Vernon Nazarene University.
