Ian McIntyre

Managing Director & Global Head Of Market Data at Pico

Ian McIntyre has a strong background in market data and financial technology. Ian is currently serving as the Managing Director & Global Head of Market Data at Pico since July 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Global Head of Market Data at ION from August 2018 to August 2022. Ian also worked at Fidessa as the Global Head of Market Data from July 2017 to August 2022, and as the Strategy, Electronic Execution from November 2016 to July 2017.

Before their role at Fidessa, Ian served as the COO - Europe at Vela (formerly SR Labs) from July 2014 to July 2016. Ian was responsible for managing the exit of the Wombat business from NYSE Technologies and integrating it with SR Labs. Ian also established SR Labs in Europe and served as the Head of Product Management.

Ian has extensive experience at NYSE Euronext, where they held various roles. Ian was the Managing Director from February 2011 to July 2014, overseeing the SuperFeed Europe product and the migration of the Euronext data feed to the Universal Trading Platform trading engine. Prior to this, they served as the Product Manager for SuperFeed Europe from May 2010 to March 2011, and as the Head of European Market Data Onboarding from March 2009 to May 2010.

Ian started their career at Wombat Financial Software, serving as the Product Manager for European Data Feeds from January 2008 to March 2009. Ian also worked as a Project Manager for Exchange Driven Changes from July 2006 to December 2007, where they were responsible for managing data feed change management processes.

Overall, Ian McIntyre has a wealth of experience in market data, product management, strategy, and operations within the financial technology industry.

Ian McIntyre attended Bangor Grammar School from 1995 to 2002. Ian then pursued a degree in Business Information Technology at Queen's University Belfast, where they achieved a 1st Class Honours degree from 2002 to 2006.
