Lobke Gierman

Lobke Gierman has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries.

Lobke is currently employed at Picterus AS, where they hold the position of Medical Manager since February 2022. Lobke also worked as a Medical Advisor at the same company since May 2021.

Prior to that, Lobke worked at the Centre of Molecular Inflammation Research, CEMIR, for several years. Lobke started as a Bachelor intern at NCMLS Radboud University Nijmegen in 2005. Lobke then went on to work as a Researcher, Assistant Professor, and Postdoctoral Researcher at CEMIR from 2014 to 2021.

Before joining CEMIR, Lobke served as a Mathematics Teacher at ArentheemCollege from October 2013 to March 2014.

Lobke also has experience working at TNO, where they held the roles of Scientist and PhD student. As a Scientist, Lobke participated in a research project on osteoarthritis, particularly focusing on the effect of dietary intake on its development in mice. Lobke was involved in the kick-off of the European FP-7 project called DBOARD. As a PhD student, they conducted research on the connection between metabolic syndrome and osteoarthritis.

Additionally, Lobke completed internships at NV Organon, where they developed an in vitro bioassay for the Vitamin A receptor, and at the Instituto de Biologia y Medicina Experimental, where they worked on pathobiology during their master's program.

Furthermore, they were involved in organizing the Batavierenrace in 2006.

Lobke Gierman obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences from Radboud University, which they completed between the years 2002 and 2005. Lobke further pursued their education at the same institution and earned a Master's degree in Pathobiology and Toxicology from Radboud University, graduating between 2006 and 2008.
