Julian Rodriguez

Julian Rodriguez serves as Co-Chair and Company Director at Impressions Gallery, a prominent contemporary photography venue in the UK, since January 2015, contributing significantly to the UK's cultural landscape. Rodriguez has been involved with The Stationers' Company since January 2011, holding the title of Freedom of the City of London, and has been an Advisor and Contributing Writer for TASCHEN since May 2018. As a member of the Advisory Board Committee for the Rory Peck Trust since March 2013, Rodriguez supports the welfare of freelance newsgatherers. Additionally, Rodriguez serves as Nominator for Prix Pictet, the leading sustainability prize in photography, since its inception. In academia, Rodriguez held the position of Head of the Department of Filmmaking & Photography at Kingston University from May 2016 to July 2021, and has contributed as an external examiner at York St. John University and the University of Gloucestershire. Rodriguez has a strong educational background with a MA in History of Design from Middlesex University and a Higher Diploma in Photography, Film & Television from the London College of Printing.
