Aydogan Ozcan's work experience includes serving as a Chancellor's Professor at UCLA since July 2007. In 2014, they became an HHMI Professor at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Aydogan also served as the Associate Director of the California NanoSystems Institute (CNSI) starting in 2013. Aydogan Ozcan is a Co-Founder of Lucendi, Inc., established in 2016, and Pictor Labs Inc., founded in 2019. Prior to their current positions, they were a Faculty member at Harvard Medical School from January 2006 to August 2007.

Aydogan Ozcan completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bilkent University from 1996 to 2000. Aydogan then pursued higher education at Stanford University, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree along with a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering between 2000 and 2005.
