Sean Shoemaker

Sean Shoemaker has a diverse work experience in the media industry. Sean'smost recent role is as a Media Operations Manager at The Picture Production Company since April 2023. Prior to that, they worked at HBO as a Media Asset Specialist from November 2019 to July 2022, handling archival and retrieval of HBO content and creating workflows for media management. Sean also worked at TYT Network as a Video Editor, Producer, and Reporter from December 2018 to January 2020, where they produced and edited videos and reported on various issues. Sean Shoemaker has also worked as a Reporter at Big Bend Sentinel, focusing on local and state politics and environmental impacts, and as a Reporter at Nepali Times, primarily covering environmental and regional geopolitical issues. Additionally, they have worked as an Ingest Operator at VICE Media, a Reporter at Mott Haven Herald, and a Media Manager at Al Jazeera America. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated skills in media management, video production, reporting, and archival operations.

Sean Shoemaker completed their Master's Degree in International Reporting at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY from 2016 to 2017. Sean earned a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Criminal Justice from the University at Albany, SUNY, studying from 2007 to 2011. Sean also participated in a Study Abroad program at Charles University in 2010, focusing on Photojournalism and Film. Additionally, they obtained a TEFL certification from ittt in January 2012.
