Thomas Wood

Thomas Wood is the Head of AI Research and Development with over 10 years of experience in developing and deploying AI solutions across various domains, including horticultural robotics and computer vision. They have served as a Machine Learning Engineer at OPTX, where they designed data and machine learning pipelines, and have held roles at prominent companies such as Nike, Huawei, and Microsoft. With a background in applied mathematics and data science, Thomas is passionate about automation and innovation, utilizing tools like Hugging Face Transformers and Kubernetes in their work. They actively share their knowledge of machine learning and advocate for best practices in MLOps and DevOps. Thomas is currently pursuing an education at Lamar University.
