Scott Avery

Scott Avery is an accomplished financial leader with extensive experience in the hospitality industry. Currently serving as Chief Financial Officer at Piedmont Driving Club since June 2023, Scott oversees financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic financial planning. Previously, as Director of Finance at Druid Hills Golf Club from March 2017 to July 2023, Scott managed financial operations for a large private club, handling treasury functions, financial statement preparation, and collaboration with leadership during critical periods. Earlier roles include Area Director of Finance at Interstate Hotels & Resorts, where Scott provided financial leadership across multiple properties, and Director of Finance at Starwood Hotels & Resorts, notable for a major brand conversion project. Scott's career began with positions as Assistant Controller and Controller within Interstate Hotels Corporation and staff accountant at Hyatt Greenville. Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel/Motel Administration/Management from the University of South Carolina.
