Kendra A. has extensive experience in marketing and advancement roles, currently serving as Advancement Assistant and previously as Development Assistant at Piedmont Environmental Council since December 2019. Prior to this, Kendra worked at Shentel from April 2015 to November 2019, holding positions as Marketing Coordinator and Marketing Assistant, where responsibilities included creating marketing plans, maintaining records, and overseeing corporate communications. Kendra also gained valuable experience as a Social Media Intern and Blog Writer for Stop Street Harassment in early 2014, contributing to the organization's mission against gender-based street harassment. Kendra holds a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Shenandoah University and an Associate's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Laurel Ridge Community College.

The Piedmont Environmental Council (PEC) is a community supported, locally focused 501(c) (3) non-profit organization that has proudly promoted and protected the natural resources, rural economy, history and beauty of the Virginia Piedmont since 1972. PEC empowers residents to protect what makes the Piedmont a wonderful place, and works with citizens to conserve land, protect air and water quality, celebrate historic resources, build smart transportation networks, promote sustainable energy choices, restore wildlife habitat and improve people’s access to nature. Headquartered in Warrenton, VA, we have offices throughout a nine county Piedmont region that includes Albemarle, Clarke, Culpeper, Fauquier, Greene, Loudoun, Madison, Orange and Rappahannock counties.
