Peter Sojka

Peter Sojka is an experienced veterinarian with a focus on avian and exotic species, currently serving as an Avian & Exotic Veterinarian at Pieper Veterinary since September 2021. Peter has held various roles in veterinary medicine, including veterinary preceptor at the Saint Louis Zoo and Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo, and has interned at multiple facilities, where responsibilities included patient care and assisting veterinary staff. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from both the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Iowa State University, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Peter also has experience as a docent at the Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and participation in the Animal Ambassadors program, emphasizing conservation education.
