Dr. Brian Lee

Dr. Brian Lee, DBA, EdD, currently serves as the Director of Information Technology for the Pierce County Library System, overseeing technology systems and staff for 19 library locations since January 2024. Additionally, Dr. Lee has been an Adjunct Instructor at Pierce College since October 2015, teaching Computer Information Systems and Business. Previously, Dr. Lee held various leadership positions, including Chief Information Officer at Clover Park Technical College and Campus Director at Zenith Education Group. With a strong educational background, including a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and a Doctor of Business Administration in Information Systems, Dr. Lee has contributed to the management of IT operations and educational programs across multiple institutions.

The system is the fourth largest in the state and is funded primarily through property taxes. Pierce County Library is an independent municipal corporation and operates as a junior taxing district.
