Marina Shvarts has a strong background in production accounting and revenue analysis. Marina started their career as a Production Accountant at Canetic Resources Trust and gained experience in consolidating and analyzing data from field operations, preparing and submitting oil and gas splits, and managing revenue and receivables. Marina also liaised with field staff and financial accounting to improve data flow and maintain data integrity. Marina then worked at Devon Energy as a Senior Production Accountant, where they had responsibilities for production and revenue accounting for a gas prorated battery and a gas plant facility. Marina prepared oil and gas splits, communicated volumetric activities, and managed royalty charges. Marina went on to work at the Alberta Energy Regulator as a Business Analyst, specializing in production accounting and compliance management processes. Marina provided subject matter expertise and identified system changes needed to meet regulatory requirements. Marina then joined Cenovus Energy as a Senior Production Accountant on a contract basis, where they consolidated and analyzed data from field operations, submitted volumetrics to regulatory bodies, and prepared oil, gas, and NGL splits. Currently, Marina is working as a Senior Production and Revenue Accountant at Pieridae Energy Limited.
Marina Shvarts has a history of education, starting in 1990 when they attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) and completed a Business Administration Diploma in Business Administration, Management, and Operations. Following this, in 2003 Marina attended SAIT again and earned a CAPPA degree in Oil and Gas. In 2014, they enrolled in the Business Analysis Program at Mount Royal University, where they studied until 2017. Throughout their education, Marina focused on business, management, and analysis.
