Lauren Blalock

Lauren Blalock has worked in public relations for a number of years, most recently as a Senior Account Executive at Pierpont Communications. Prior to that, they interned with the Cahaba River Society and The Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival.

Lauren has always had a passion for communications and marketing, and their work history reflects that. At the Cahaba River Society, they were responsible for planning and executing public relations initiatives for the organization as a whole, as well as for their biggest fundraising event of the year, The Cahaba Fry-Down. Lauren also updated the organization's website and created news releases and promotional materials.

At The Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival, Lauren was responsible for assisting in the planning and production of the festival, writing press releases and other promotional materials, coordinating various aspects of the festival, and raising money by securing corporate sponsorships and donations. As Lead Intern, they coordinated a large, two-day event.

Lauren's experience in public relations and event planning makes their an asset to any organization. Lauren is a creative thinker with strong writing and communication skills. Lauren is able to think outside the box to come up with innovative solutions to problems. Lauren is a team player who is always willing to lend a helping hand.

Lauren Blalock has a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations and Events Management from The University of Alabama. Lauren also has a Certification from FEMA in Introduction to Incident Command System Certification.
