JASON M. REEFER is a Partner in the Product Liability Practice Group at Pietragallo Gordon Alfano Bosick & Raspanti, LLP.

Mr. Reefer’s practice is dedicated to defending manufacturers in litigation pending throughout the United States. He has particular expertise in cases involving pharmaceuticals, medical devices, automobiles, powersports equipment, and firearms. He has litigated at all levels of state and federal court, including the U.S. Supreme Court, where he represented an amicus curiae in the seminal case, Mutual Pharmaceutical Co. v. Bartlett.

As national and regional counsel to numerous publicly-traded companies, Mr. Reefer has extensive experience as liaison and lead counsel in federal multidistrict litigation and state mass-tort programs. His practice is truly national in scope, having handled cases from Bangor, Maine to San Diego, California and countless jurisdictions in between.

His expertise, however, extends well beyond the courtroom. Recognizing that litigation involving large-scale manufacturers is oftentimes inevitable, Mr. Reefer takes a proactive approach to understanding his client’s business interests and ensuring that a company takes all appropriate steps to prepare its defense before a complaint is ever filed. For that reason, he has assisted with the preparation and revision of product-safety manuals and on-product warnings and has counseled clients with regard to the implementation and completion of product recalls in accordance with CPSC and FDA guidelines.

He holds two degrees from the University of Pennsylvania: a B.A., summa cum laude, with Distinction; and a J.D., where he served as a Senior Editor of the Journal of Constitutional Law. Before joining Pietragallo, Mr. Reefer was an attorney at an Am Law 100 firm.
