Liz Scott has a diverse background in healthcare and education, with experience as a Flight Attendant at United Airlines from May 2022 to October 2023. Prior to that, Liz worked as a Dialysis Nurse at Davita/Yale New Haven Hospital from May 2021 to December 2022, and as a Case Management Nurse at Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care and Compassus Hospice from September 2018 to April 2020. Additional nursing roles include Registered Nurse at Kindred Hospital in 2018, Case Management Nurse at Islands Hospice from May 2015 to October 2017, and Registered Nurse for Dr. Anthony Ricci between 2010 and 2012. Educational expertise includes serving as a Resource Specialist for San Diego Unified School from September 1999 to February 2001 and as a Special Education Teacher for the Hawaii State Department of Education from September 1995 to June 1998. Liz holds a Bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing from the University of North Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Salve Regina University.
Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care
Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care has provided hospice care and palliative services for 40 years. PPHPC began offering services in 1980, and is the only community-based, nonprofit hospice provider in El Paso and Teller counties in Colorado. Patients can receive our services wherever they call home – a private residence, assisted living community or skilled nursing facility. When medical needs become more complex, we are the only area hospice provider with our own licensed inpatient care unit to manage more serious care needs in a comfortable setting. The focus of our philosophy of care is to provide quality symptom control and practical support to holistically address patients’ physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Comprehensive grief support for surviving families of loved ones continues for thirteen months following the death of our patients. In addition, PPHPC is committed to sharing its expertise about end-of-life issues through education and collaborations throughout the community.
