Davide Currò has a range of work experience starting from 2005 till 2018. Davide worked as a Barista and seasonal waiter at Bar Claudio from 2005 to 2011. From 2012 to 2014, they worked at the Bar gelateria "Cafè della Piazza - Gelateria delle Rose" where they were responsible for preparing breakfast, cocktails, food and drinks, table service, cashier management, inventory management, and customer relations. In 2014, they worked part-time at Scuola di Ingegneria ed Architettura. Davide was a student intern at TPER SPA from February 2016 to July 2016 where they completed their thesis. From October 2016 to March 2017, they worked as a technical editor at STAR Italia. Davide then joined the European Commission in April 2017 and initially worked as a research intern, analyzing usage factors for assessing the CO2 reduction potential of Eco-innovations and verifying the completeness and technical accuracy of applications submitted by the automotive industry. Davide also contributed to the development and improvement of testing and evaluation methodologies. Later in October 2017, they became a research fellow at the European Commission, primarily involved in analyzing "Coasting technology" for automatic transmission and engine on vehicles, including defining algorithms to estimate the phases of tests with the highest potential for coasting, regardless of the driver's behavior. In 2018, Davide Currò worked as a data analyst (external consultant) for the Sustainable Transport Unit at JRC of the EU Commission, assisting the Eco-Innovation group in assessing the CO2 reduction potential of various eco-innovations. Their responsibilities also included participation in teleconferences and video conferences for informal discussions with different stakeholders.
Davide Currò pursued their education at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna. From 2008 to 2013, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Ingegneria energetica, followed by the attainment of a Master's degree, Laurea Magistrale LM, in Ingegneria meccanica from 2013 to 2016. Additionally, they obtained a certification in International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a score of 6.5 (B2 level) from the British Council.
