Marco Mantovani has over 30 years of experience in the IT industry. Marco started their career as a System Administrator at Pragma Software Srl in 1988 and worked there until 1997. From 1997 to 2001, they worked as a Senior System Administrator at Pragma Management Systems, where they were responsible for various projects including Citrix and Thin Clients.
In 2001, Mantovani joined DataSys Informatica SpA as a Senior System Integration Engineer and Solutions Architect. During their time there, they designed solutions in the areas of networking, system integration, and security. Marco also managed projects and provided consultations and demonstrations to clients.
In 2004, Mantovani joined Serco as a Senior System Engineer, Storage Administrator, and Senior System Integration Engineer. Marco worked on server administration, migration, monitoring, and backup projects. Marco also designed and implemented a System Management and Monitoring project across different zones using BMC Patrol.
From 2007 to 2010, Mantovani worked at the European Commission as an IT Service Officer. Marco carried out various projects, including the installation and implementation of HPC services and the design and configuration of a Monitoring Service environment using BMC Patrol.
Since 2010, Mantovani has been working at Serco again as a Senior Storage and System Engineer Specialist. Marco has been involved in NetApp and Zfs storage administration and worked on the migration from NetApp 7-mode to NetApp cluster-mode.
Marco Mantovani completed their high school education at Liceo Scientifico from 1978 to 1982, focusing on a scientific-technological curriculum. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Physics at Università degli Studi di Padova, from 1982 to 1988.
