Usamah Jamaludin

Usamah Jamaludin has a diverse range of work experience that spans over several years. Usamah started their career as a Senior Consultant at iPerintis, where they worked on various Microsoft .NET custom web applications for Petronas. Following this, they took a break from the corporate world to become a stay-at-home dad and work as an IT freelancer on a part-time basis.

Afterward, Usamah joined Dell as a Software Development Advisor and later became a Software Development Senior Advisor. In these roles, they served as a technical team lead and ScrumMaster, leading projects related to data center capacity planning and the reconstruction of Dell's Channel Partner Portal website. Usamah received recognition for their leadership skills and was awarded the VP Gold Award.

Usamah then joined MYOB as a Senior Software Engineer, initially joining the Prod Ops team and quickly becoming the team lead. Usamah gained expertise in complex business accounting domains and was responsible for maintaining MYOB's AccountRight Live software and its data file integrity. Additionally, they participated in and won the MYOB KL Hackathon twice.

After their tenure at MYOB, Usamah worked at Booster.com (Created by CustomInk) as a Senior Software Engineer. Usamah was hired to lead a newly created maintenance team for a Rails application and successfully reduced maintenance tickets by 40-50% year over year.

Following this, they joined Photobook Worldwide as a Tech Lead/Manager. In this role, they maintained the company's e-commerce ecosystem, collaborating with various departments to enhance system performance and resolve operational issues.

Usamah also founded Kitikiti HRM, where they developed a payroll-focused HRM application with integrated leave and expense modules. The aim was to create a generalized HRM configuration to enable rapid expansion into different countries.

Currently, Usamah is working as a Backend Developer at Piktochart, where they utilize their technical expertise to contribute to the company's backend development efforts. The specific details regarding the duration of their role at Piktochart are not provided.

Usamah Jamaludin has a comprehensive education history in the field of Computer Science. Usamah obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. Following this, Usamah pursued further academic achievements and completed a Master's degree in Computer Science (Software Engineering) from Universiti Putra Malaysia, studying between 2011 and 2015.
