Matthias Klein

Matthias Klein currently serves as the Director of the Pilatus Maintenance Service Center and Deputy Unitlead Assembly and MRO at Pilatus Aircraft Ltd, overseeing operations at the new Maintenance Hangar "Brisen" at Buochs Airport and managing a team of over 170 employees. Previously, Matthias held various leadership roles at Airbus Helicopters from October 2008 to September 2022, including Director of Aircraft Maintenance and Senior Manager positions in Aviation Safety Management and Corporate Aviation Safety Management. Matthias began a career in the Luftwaffe - German Airforce, where roles included Head of Business Organisation and Aircraft Technical Flight Safety Officer. Academic qualifications include a Diplom-Ingenieur in Aeronautics and Space Engineering from the University of the German Federal Armed Forces Munich, an MBA from AKAD-Fachhochschule Leipzig, and various certifications in safety engineering and aircraft maintenance.
