Jeffrey Avansino

Jeffrey R. Avansino, MD, MBA is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Washington and an attending pediatric surgeon in the Division of Pediatric General and Thoracic Surgery at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Dr. Jeff Avansino is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery in adult general surgery and pediatric surgery. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Pediatric Surgical Association. He is also a member of the Colorectal Team Overseas that provides education to providers and surgical care to children with pediatric colorectal anomalies.

Locally, he is Vice President and Medical Director of Surgical Services, Associate Surgeon in Chief and Past-President of the Medical Staff. Dr. Jeff Avansino earned his medical degree from the University of Nevada, School of Medicine, in Reno in 1999 and completed his Residency at the University of Washington in 2006. In 2008, he completed his fellowship training in pediatric surgery at Seattle Children’s Hospital and completed a master of business administration at Seattle University in 2016.
