Michael Messele

CEO at Pillar

Michael Messele is the CEO of Pillar. Prior to Pillar, they were at Cranfield University pursuing their Executive MBA. Some of their core subjects include statistics, investment appraisal, financial valuations, financial instruments, accounting, economics, strategy, leadership, and advanced negotiation. Michael also consulted for a travel and tour operator in Sri Lanka where they prepared a business plan for setting up an inbound tourism channel. This included reviewing and optimizing their existing processes and administering various training. Before Cranfield University, they were a Senior Consultant Market Risk Systems at Commerzbank where they worked on an integration project which replaced a legacy Risk reporting platform with a scalable Java system built upon distributed caching technology and accessed via a web portal. Michael also worked on a companywide Risk platform which covered various asset classes such as Fx options, Fx spot, FX forward, Bonds, CDO, Hybrids, Complex products, OTC interest rate products (Swaps, Swaptions, Bond Options, CDS), etc.

Michael Messele has an MBA from Cranfield University and a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Greenwich. Michael also has certification from the Association for Project Management in APMP (IPMA Level D, SCQF Level 7).
