Paul Karpenko is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in frontend development and architecture, specializing in JavaScript frameworks such as React and Ember, as well as backend technologies including C#, PHP, and Node. Currently serving as a Founding Engineer at Pillar since August 2021, Paul previously held positions such as Senior Product Engineer at Q&A, Head of Frontend Engineering at Gridspace, and Lead Interactive Developer at Isobar, where notable projects included building interactive experiences for major clients like Travelocity and Hilton. With a foundational career starting as a Web Application Developer at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, Paul has accumulated a diverse skill set across various roles and organizations, ultimately holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
