Jeffrey Metzler

Jeffrey Metzler is an accomplished attorney with extensive experience in various legal roles, currently serving as a Partner and Special Counsel at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP since June 2019, focusing on complex claims and investigations in sectors such as education and public affairs. Prior to this, Metzler held notable positions including Associate General Counsel at New York University, where oversight of litigation and policy drafting occurred, and Acting General Counsel at the New York City Council, leading a team during a significant legislative transition. Additional experience encompasses roles at the Empire State Development Corporation, the Office of the Attorney General of New York, and clerkship at the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, complemented by academic contributions as an adjunct professor.
