Tonima Bhowmik

Tonima Bhowmik is a dedicated student and professional currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government at Boston University, expected to graduate in May 2027. Tonima has gained valuable experience through multiple roles, including a Legislative Intern at the U.S. House of Representatives and an Academic Tutor with The Petey Greene Program. Active in various campus organizations, Tonima holds membership in the Diversity in Law Association and the Boston University Pre-Law Society, focusing on advocacy for minority students in legal fields. Additionally, Tonima participates in cultural initiatives, serving as an Event Coordinator and Choreographer for the Sanatani Seva Sangha, promoting Hindu cultural events in New York City. With a strong foundation established through earlier education at Binghamton University and Brooklyn Technical High School, Tonima is also a Thrive Scholar, benefiting from a program designed for underrepresented first-generation college students.
