Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical and firmware engineer with a strong background in developing collaborative solutions and educational technology. At SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris has contributed to the design of hardware and firmware for DViT interactive whiteboards and various educational devices. Prior experience includes work as an electronics contractor for Science Alberta Foundation, where Chris handled electronics design and repair, and serving as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary, aiding in student labs and assessment. Earlier roles included developing control systems for the forestry industry as an electronics engineer at Grindcom. Chris holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor’s in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
