Pima Association of Governments

Pima Association of Governments (PAG) is a federally designated metropolitan planning organization, that manages and coordinates cross-jurisdictional transportation planning, environmental planning and technical services with PAG members: the Cities of South Tucson and Tucson, the Towns of Marana, Oro Valley and Sahuarita, Pima County, the Pascua Yaqui Tribe, the Tohono O'odham Nation and the Governor-appointed Pima County representative of the Arizona State Transportation Board. PAG Vision Statement A regional coordinating body that works to ensure our region enjoys a meaningful lifestyle supported by a quality transportation infrastructure, healthy economy and sustainable environment. PAG Mission Statement To address regional issues through cooperative efforts and pooled resources, and to provide accurate, relevant data that leads to effective regional planning decisions. PAG also manages the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) of Pima County. The RTA was established in 2004 and is the fiscal manager of the 20-year RTA plan and half-cent excise tax, which were individually approved by Pima County voters in May 2006.
