Joao Pedro Barbosa

Joao Pedro Barbosa has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as Vice President Compliance at PIMCO Prime Real Estate. In this position, they are responsible for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts, supporting legal projects, and designing and implementing compliance programs. Joao Pedro also assists the Data Protection Officer in designing a GDPR-compliant data protection program.

Prior to this, Joao worked as the Head of Administration at BRASA - Brazilian Student Association's European branch, where they managed internal procedures, represented the association before authorities, and built a network of partners and collaborators.

Joao Pedro also gained experience as a Trainee Student at Capveriant, a College Program Participant at Walt Disney World, a Law Clerk at Paul Hastings, an Intern at Souza, Cescon, Barrieu & Flesch Advogados and Ulhôa Canto, Rezende e Guerra Advogados, and a Volunteer Translator at Fundação Lemann.

Joao's work experience also includes internships at Demarest Advogados and Tribunal de Justiça de São Paulo.

Joao Pedro Barbosa's education history begins in 2012, when they started studying for their Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at USP - Universidade de São Paulo. Joao Pedro pursued this degree until 2017.

In 2015, Joao Pedro enrolled at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and completed a Zertifikatsstudium in Law, which they finished in 2016.

During the same year, they also had the opportunity to study at the University of International Business and Economics as a Hanban Scholar, focusing on Chinese Studies.

In 2018, Barbosa returned to Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München to pursue a Master of Laws (LLM) degree, specializing in Direito (Law), which they completed that same year.
