Abbey Sladick

Abbey Sladick is the current Director at Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services. Abbey previously served as the Vice President of Communication at Mel Trotter Ministries from September 2015 to December 2019.

At Mel Trotter Ministries, Abbey was responsible for the long-term strategy of all communication efforts, including advocacy, crisis communication, marketing, branding, public relations, and communication management for internal and external publics. Under their leadership, the communication and development teams raised over $1 million through events and became one of the leading gospel rescue missions in the country for new donor acquisition. The organization also maintained the top position in their market for aided and unaided awareness for agencies serving the homeless population of greater Grand Rapids.

Abbey has a passion for helping others and has dedicated their career to working with organizations that provide mental health services. Abbey is a strong leader with a proven track record of success in fundraising and public relations.

Abbey Sladick received a Master of Science in Communications from Grand Valley State University. Abbey also holds a Bachelor of Communications from Grand Valley State University, with a focus in Broadcast News and Public Relations. Abbey Sladick began their education at Grand Haven High School, where they earned a Diploma in Advanced Placement. Abbey has also received certification from Priority Health in Mental Health First Aid Training, Spectrum Health in CQ your bias, and Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services in Mental Health First Aid Training.
