Matt Merkey

Matt Merkey is an experienced finance professional with a comprehensive background in fund accounting and operational management. Currently serving as the Head of Fund Accounting at Pine River Capital Management since November 2023, Merkey previously held key leadership positions including Chief Operating Officer at Capital Creek Partners and CFO and Controller at Hill Country Asset Management. His earlier roles include Director of Investment Analytics and Vice President of Fund Accounting at Argentem Creek Partners, as well as Director and Controller of Fund Accounting at Pine River Capital Management. Merkey began his career at KPMG as a Senior Associate in Audit. Matt Merkey holds a degree from the UMN Carlson School of Management, earned between 2002 and 2007.
