Michael Douglas Abate currently serves as a Legislative Assistant to Pinellas County Commissioner Chris Scherer, a position held since November 2024. Abate holds a Master's degree in Demography and Population Studies and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government, both from Florida State University.
