Kayla Copley has extensive experience in education and community engagement, currently serving as a K-5 Gifted Education Teacher and previously as a 2nd Grade Teacher with Pinellas County Schools since October 2017. Prior experience includes work as a Behavior Therapist at ABA Academy and an Administrative Assistant at Gulf Coast Giving, where responsibilities included creating awareness campaigns and managing social media and event planning. As a Corps Member with Teach For America, Kayla focused on addressing educational inequity, while prior teaching roles included a 4th Grade Teacher position at Woodville Heights Elementary. A background in marketing was developed through internships with the Hope and Help Center of Central Florida and Oerther Foods McDonald’s, complementing a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising and Public Relations obtained from the University of Central Florida in 2012.
