Isaac Parakati, MSPH, (MBA) BOOTH, UChicago has a diverse work experience. From 2012 to 2015, they worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Chicago Medical Center in Dr. Steven Roth's lab in the Department of Anesthesiology, where they conducted visual science experiments and performed statistical analyses, and helped write four research abstracts and academic articles about visual health outcomes after surgery. From 2015 to 2016, they worked as a Quantitative Research Scholar at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, where they used statistical methods in R and SAS to find optimal time to discharge in young patients after surgery. From 2016 to 2017, they worked as a Market Research Intern at Veritiv, a Fortune 500 B2B company, where they developed customer retention solutions and identified target markets through factor analysis and survival models. Since 2017, they have been working at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, first as a Manager of Medical Group Financial Operations and then as a Sr Statistician. In their roles, they have facilitated and led assigned team functions and projects, generated financial and statistical reports, reported and analyzed key metrics, assessed the financial impact of recruitment/growth initiatives, and completed ad hoc reports, analyses, and special projects. In 2020, they became the Head of Data Science at Ping Cares, where they designed Ping's proprietary fall detection machine learning model, co-wrote a patent describing the model, collaborated with an electrical engineer to create and demo a machine learning pipeline dashboard, and created two dashboard prototypes.
Isaac Parakati has an extensive education history. Isaac obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mathematics from the University of Chicago in 2011-2015. Isaac then went on to obtain a Masters of Science in Public Health (MSPH) in Biostatistics from Emory University in 2015-2017.
