Mary Lou Hernandez

Project Manager Phase 2/3 at Pinnacle Clinical Research

Mary Lou Hernandez has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Mary Lou started their career in 1993 as an Office Administrator at Max Martinez Funeral Home/ Lowen Group Int. In 2001, they joined the Cancer Therapy & Research Center as a Regulatory Affairs Assistant, where they prepared and submitted new studies to the University of Texas Health Science Center IRB. Mary Lou also served as a Regulatory Affairs Specialist at Cancer Therapy & Research Center/Institute for Drug Development and as a Protocol Coordinator Assistant at Cancer Therapy & Research Center.

In 2012, Mary Lou joined Integra Clinical Research, LLC as a Clinical Research Coordinator, responsible for completing CRFs and obtaining study-related procedures. Mary Lou then moved to Clinical Trials of Texas, Inc. in 2014, where they continued their role as a Clinical Research Coordinator, overseeing the creation and completion of CRFs, patient recruitment, and trial implementation.

In 2016, Mary Lou joined GASTROENTEROLOGY CONSULTANTS OF SAN ANTONIO, P.A. as a Clinical Research Coordinator. From 2017 to 2020, they worked at The Texas Liver Institute, serving as a Phase I Clinical Research Coordinator.

Currently, Mary Lou is working at Pinnacle Clinical Research as the Phase 1 Lead Clinical Research Coordinator, a position they started in 2020.

Mary Lou Hernandez attended Northwest Vista College from 2010 to 2012, where they obtained an Associates of Applied Science degree in Clinical Research Coordinator. Prior to that, from 2007 to 2008, they also attended Northwest Vista College and acquired a Certificate of Community Health & Services in the field of Health. Additionally, in 2008, they completed a Community Health Worker Certificate program offered by the Texas Department of State Health Services in collaboration with Northwest Vista College.
