Matt Morrell

Matt Morrell is the current Total FM Director at Pinnacle Group. Matt has held this position since August of 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Pinnacle Group Limited from April 2015 to August 2020 as the Head of Facilities Management & Technical Services. In this role, they took full accountability and control of the operational management and protection of assets under the company’s responsibility in its 9 Education PFI contracts, Housing PFI contract and University accommodation projects. Matt also led the growth of the FM business which tripled over a three year period. Some of their key responsibilities included developing strategies for the delivery and management of lifecycle, planned and responsive maintenance for all assets, maintaining processes to ensure company operations were compliant with statutory requirements and guidelines, implementing and economising an in house service delivery model for Hard FM services, and managing the financial performance of the contracts. Matt was also responsible for ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations, risk management, benchmarking/market testing, and tender exercises for larger projects. In addition, they oversaw the company’s utilities purchasing, seeking the most advantageous deals available under the constraints of the individual client contracts. Matt directly managed a team of multi-disciplinary managers (covering housing, education, soft and hard FM disciplines), instilling a customer focused approach in the team.
