Sarah Russell is Group Procurement Manager at Pinnacle Group. Sarah has over 10 years' experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, and supply chain management.
Sarah started their career as a Purchasing Manager at Clearsprings Management Limited in May 2009. Sarah was instrumental in enabling the company to remain competitive, continue to grow and retain customers in the midst of challenging economic conditions. Sarah established a new purchasing department and SRM programme, which allowed a cohesive approach to key supplier management, including the introduction of a fixed pricing framework across the 4 business units. This led to bottom line cost savings of around £500K, as well as decreasing property service procurement spend by more than 50%.
In addition to their work streamlining Clearsprings' purchasing process, Sarah also played a lead role on several new contracts, including a high value government framework contract. Sarah's work on these projects contributed significantly to the company's reputation for innovation and high standards of service delivery.
In August 2013, Sarah left Clearsprings to join Pinnacle Group as Group Procurement Manager. In this role, they are responsible for leading the procurement function and developing strategic sourcing initiatives that support the company's growth. Under Sarah's leadership, the procurement team has won the Green Award at the Essex Business Awards in 2011, as well as achieved Achiever Status with the Ethical Trading Initiative.
Sarah Russell has a diploma in purchasing and supply from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply in the United Kingdom. Sarah is certified by the Institute of Leadership & Management in both diploma-level 3 NVQ certificate in management and level 3 certificate in effective management.
