Health Informatics Analyst at Pinnacol Assurance

Alyson Stichner, MS, RHIA has a diverse background in health informatics and data analysis. Alyson is currently working as a Health Informatics Analyst at Pinnacol Assurance. In this role, they apply their expertise in analyzing healthcare data to identify patterns of fraud, waste, and abuse within the Indiana Health Coverage Program. Previously, Alyson worked as an Analytic Consultant at IBM Watson Health, where they developed algorithms to identify fraudulent claims and helped recover overpayments. Alyson also served as an Adjunct Professor at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, teaching database design for health information management. Additionally, Alyson has experience as a Shift Lead and Barista at Foundry Provisions, a Tutor at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, a Data Support specialist at the IU School of Medicine, and a Data Analytics Intern at The Polis Center at IUPUI.

Alyson Stichter earned a Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, which they completed from 2013 to 2017. Alyson further pursued their education at the same institution and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Health Informatics from 2016 to 2018. Additionally, Alyson obtained the Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certification from AHIMA in April 2019 and the Cognitive Practitioner certification from IBM in February 2018.
