Michael Finch

Michael Finch has a diverse range of work experience spanning over several decades. Michael began their career in 1979, serving in the USMC as a COBOL Programmer and DBMS Specialist. Michael received recognition for designing and programming an inventory requirements application during this time.

In 2004, Michael transitioned to the private sector and worked at various companies such as General Dynamics Land Systems, PBGC, tw telecom, Comcast, and United Launch Alliance. In their roles, they specialized in Oracle databases, PL/SQL development, and Oracle Application Express (APEX).

Their responsibilities included overseeing and administering Oracle workflows, developing and loading Oracle data warehouses, and implementing and configuring Oracle Application modules. At Comcast, they led a team of APEX and PL/SQL developers and developed a prototype application that replaced a prior reporting solution.

From 2014 to 2019, Michael worked at Delta Dental of Colorado as an Oracle Database Engineer and APEX/PL/SQL Developer, where they designed and documented data models for their Claims System Implementation project.

In 2020, they joined Pinnacol Assurance as an Oracle PL/SQL and Forms Developer, providing production support and minor enhancements for the Workers Compensation Information System. Currently, they hold the position of Sr. Software Engineer at Pinnacol Assurance.

Michael Finch attended the Computer Sciences School at the United States Marine Corp. However, the specific dates, degree, and field of study are unknown.
