Michelle Barnes

Michelle Barnes has over 20 years of experience in developing and executing strategic employee communications plans. Michelle has worked at Pinnacol Assurance for 18 years in roles such as Employee Channel Strategist and Internal Communications Specialist. Michelle is skilled in evaluating audience needs and developing communication solutions that reach and influence target audiences. Prior to their time at Pinnacol Assurance, they worked at Level 3 Communications as an HR Communications Specialist, where they coordinated internal communications for various projects and conducted training sessions. Michelle also has experience at Lockheed Martin, where they developed the company's first strategic internal communications plan and procedures.

Michelle Barnes obtained a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature from Elmira College, where they studied from 1990 to 1994. Following this, they pursued a Master's Degree in Corporate Communications at Ithaca College, specializing in Business/Corporate Communications, from 1994 to 1996.
