Paul Quarles has a significant work history, starting with their time at Ernst & Young from 1992 to 1999 as a Manager, where they specialized in IT consulting and worked with various clients and industries. In 1998, they joined Invesco Ltd. as a Principal and held that position until 2004. Paul then moved to OppenheimerFunds, where they worked from 2004 to 2015. During their time there, they held various roles, including AVP of IT Development, AVP of Intermediary Operations, Product Owner, AVP of Transfer Agency Processing, and AVP of CTG Development Manager. Since 2015, Quarles has been with Pinnacol Assurance, first as Agile Services Manager from 2015 to 2016, then as Program Development Manager from 2016 to 2015, and finally as Director of Software Development from 2018 to present.

Paul Quarles has a diverse education history. Paul obtained a BBA in Business Analysis and Research from Texas A&M University between 1985 and 1990. Following this, they pursued an MS in Management Information Systems from the same university, completing it from 1990 to 1992. Later, Paul attended Fuller Theological Seminary from 2002 to 2006, earning a MATS degree in Theological Studies.

In addition to their educational degrees, Paul Quarles has also obtained several certifications. In August 2010, they became a Professional Scrum Master I through Scrum.org. In March 2010, they also acquired the certification of Certified Product Owner from Scrum Alliance. Furthermore, in July 2015, they obtained certifications of Certified Scrum Professional from Scrum Alliance and SAFe Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc.
