Teree Carr, CPCU has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. Teree began their career at CompSource, Inc. as a Workers' Compensation Mid-Market Underwriter, where they managed a book of business exceeding $5.3 million. Teree then joined Fireman's Fund Insurance Company as a Commercial Lines Underwriting Specialist, handling commercial property and casualty coverages for middle market accounts. Teree also served as a Workers' Compensation Service Team Underwriter at Fireman's Fund, underwriting profitable accounts with premiums over $50,000 and managing client risk as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
In 1998, Teree moved on to RSA as an Operations Unit Manager, overseeing underwriting services for the Professional & Financial Risks division. Teree later became an Operations Manager in the Business Transition Office, providing operational oversight for field runoff/disposal entities. Teree then took on the role of Business Process & Reengineering Manager, leading internal consultants in executing tactical and strategic initiatives for corporate consolidation and integration.
In 2006, Teree joined Bank of America as a VP, Sr. Operational Risk Specialist. In this role, they evaluated and managed program risk for the credit life insurance book and debt cancellation products. Teree collaborated with Legal, Compliance, and Product Management to optimize growth while balancing risk and reward.
Teree's most recent position was with Pinnacol Assurance, where they held various leadership roles. Teree first served as the Senior Business Director for the Diversified Center of Excellence & Safety Group Teams. In this capacity, they provided leadership and coaching to a team responsible for servicing a $40 million book of business. Teree then became the Business Director for Third-Party Administration (TPA) & Association Teams, managing 32 team members and overseeing claims and safety for a $6 million+ program and 24 programs with $45 million in premium.
Throughout their career, Teree has consistently demonstrated expertise in underwriting, risk management, team leadership, and process improvement.
Teree Carr, CPCU has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with a focus on Business Management from UNC Charlotte Belk College of Business. In addition to the degree, Teree has also completed the CPCU program at The American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters. Furthermore, Teree has obtained a Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Villanova University.
