Val W.

Val W. has a strong background in business intelligence and data analysis. They began their career at USAA as a Business Technology Analyst in 2001, eventually moving on to become a Manager in Insurance Claims Operations. Val then worked at Hewlett-Packard as a Business Planning Analyst from 2004 to 2007. They joined Progressive Insurance in 2007 as a Data Analyst IV and remained there until 2011. Val's most recent and current position is at Pinnacol Assurance, where they started as a Business Intelligence Analyst Lead/Supervisor in 2011 and have since been promoted to Business Intelligence Manager and currently, as of May 2020, as the Business Intelligence Director.

Val W. obtained a Certificate in High Performance Leadership from eCornell at Cornell University in 2018. Prior to that, Val completed a Masters degree in IT Management at Colorado Technical University from 2000 to 2001. Val's Bachelor's degree in Finance was obtained from Arizona State University, although the specific dates of attendance are unknown. Additionally, Val has several certifications in data analysis and data science from institutions like Coursera, including "Managing Data Analysis," "A Crash Course in Data Science," "Building a Data Science Team," "Mastering Data Analysis in Excel," "Business Metrics for Data-Driven Companies," and "Data Visualization and Communication with Tableau." The certifications were obtained between 2016 and 2017.
