Shuhao Deng

Shuhao (Sohar) Deng, FRM, is an experienced investment analyst currently working at Pinpoint Asset Management Limited since June 2022, focusing on market neutral long/short equity strategies across global hardware and semiconductor sectors in Japan, the US, Greater China, and the EU. Prior to this role, Shuhao served as a portfolio manager at Nissay Asset Management, specializing in private equity investments and co-investments, and held the position of private equity investment analyst at Nippon Life Insurance Company. Earlier experience includes a quantitative research internship at Nomura, a fixed income internship at SMBC Nikko Securities, and an investment research internship at Huatai Futures, with a foundation built as a research assistant at Chongqing University. Educational qualifications include a master's degree in economics from The University of Tokyo, bachelor's and minor degrees in finance and mathematics from Chongqing University, and an exchange program at Tohoku University.
