Jianjin Dong

Jianjin Dong is an accomplished engineering manager and staff machine learning engineer at Pinterest, where since March 2021, leadership has been provided for the offsite signals team responsible for content understanding and safety. Prior to Pinterest, Jianjin held positions at Layer 6 AI and TD, serving as a machine learning research scientist and senior manager, respectively. Jianjin also contributed to the development of a machine learning-based arbitrage strategy at Trading Strategy from 2017 to 2018. Additionally, a significant role was played as a Hadoop developer at RBC, where a machine learning framework for client matching was developed, effectively managing trillions of data points. Jianjin holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Peking University.
