Nichita Diaconu

Nichita Diaconu is a skilled Software Engineer at Klue since January 2020, focusing on research, data collection, prototyping, design, production, deployment, and monitoring of machine learning systems using various technologies such as Python, Bash, and Kubernetes. Previously, Nichita served as a Research Engineer at Philips, where the work centered on self-attention in vision models as part of an MSc thesis. In an academic capacity, Nichita participated as an Honours student at the University of Amsterdam, co-authoring a paper on a generalized weight-tying approach in convolutional neural networks presented at ICML 2019. Early experience includes work as a Computer Vision Engineer at Bosch, tackling multi-scale object detection. Nichita holds a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Amsterdam and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Universitatea „Babeș-Bolyai” din Cluj-Napoca, complemented by ongoing online education.
