Alexandr Kurilin

Alexandr Kurilin is currently a Venture Partner at Pioneer Fund. Prior to this, they were with Canix (YC S'19) as a software engineering manager. Alexandr has also worked with Facebook in various capacities over the years, including as a software engineering intern on the Entities team, where they developed internal tools to test complicated Dataswarm pipelines with multiple implicit dependencies between jobs. Alexandr also interned on the Core Systems team, working on performance optimization and analysis of Facebook's internal branch of ZooKeeper. Prior to Facebook, Alexandr worked as a C# developer with Bank of America.

Alexander Kurilin's educational career began at Earl Haig Secondary School. Alexandr then went on to study computer software engineering at the University of Waterloo, where they earned a Bachelor of Software Engineering degree.
