Dave Messina

Dave Messina is a seasoned leader in the healthcare and biotechnology sectors, currently serving as General Partner at Pioneer Fund since November 2017, where Dave leads the Future of Health Fund, focusing on impactful health startups. Alongside this role, Messina also holds positions as Senior Venture Partner at Harmonix, Advisor at Geneoscopy and the American Cancer Society, and Member of the Selection Committee at iSelect Fund. Previously, Messina was the Founder and Chief Operating Officer at Cofactor Genomics and served on the Board of Trustees at Thomas Jefferson School. Messina has a robust academic background with a Ph.D. in Computational Biology from Stockholm University, an MS in Genetics from Washington University in St. Louis, and a BS in Biology from the University of Illinois Chicago.
