Mark Schaffer

Mark Schaffer has a diverse work experience in the field of hydrology and environmental services. Mark worked as a Program Manager and Hydrologist at Pioneer Technical Services, Inc from June 2017 to present. In this role, they provided multidisciplinary technical and project management services for the engineering and environmental services firm.

Prior to that, Mark worked as a Hydrologist at Copper Environmental Consulting from January 2012 to June 2017. Mark provided technical assistance for the remediation of Superfund sites in the Upper Clark Fork Basin. Copper Environmental Consulting is an environmental consulting agency specializing in water treatment systems.

Mark also worked as a Consulting Hydrologist at Trout Unlimited from 2004 to 2012, where they provided hydrological consulting services. In addition, they worked as a Hydrologist at Montana Bureau of Mines and Geology in 2010-2011.

In 2008, Mark served as a Research Field Crew Leader at the University of Montana Flathead Lake Biological Station. Mark managed a field crew in the collection of aquatic ecology data in British Columbia as part of an international study on anadromous fish production throughout the Pacific Basin.

Prior to their hydrology-related roles, Mark worked for various outfits as a River Guide, Group Facilitator, and Kayak Instructor from 1994 to 2008.

Mark Schaffer obtained a Masters of Science degree in Earth Science from Montana State University-Bozeman. This educational achievement was completed by 2011.
