Travis Mavrich is a seasoned bioinformatics professional with extensive experience in both academic and industry settings. Currently serving as the Bioinformatics Technical Lead at PIPA - Process Integration & Predictive Analytics since September 2020, Travis has previously held roles as a Senior Bioinformatician and Bioinformatician. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Researcher position at the University of Pittsburgh, where Travis led investigations into phage comparative genomics, and a Visiting Researcher role at APC Microbiome Institute focusing on bifidobacterial prophages. Travis also contributed as a Research Associate at J. Craig Venter Institute, and held various research positions at the University of Pittsburgh and Penn State University, culminating in numerous peer-reviewed publications. Educationally, Travis earned a PhD in Molecular Cellular and Developmental Biology from the University of Pittsburgh and holds a Bachelor of Science in Genetic and Developmental Biology from Penn State University.
