Michael Poiani, CPA

Michael Poiani, CPA has a strong background in accounting and financial reporting. Michael is currently working as a Controller at Pipe since January 2023. Previously, they served as the Head of Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting at Upstart from December 2020 to January 2023, and as the Manager of Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting from September 2019 to December 2020. Before that, they worked at Spotify as a Manager of Technical Accounting from November 2017 to September 2019. Prior to Spotify, they were a Manager of Financial Accounting Advisory Services at EY from January 2015 to November 2017. Michael started their career at KPMG US as a Senior Associate in Assurance from August 2012 to January 2015. Michael also had a global internship experience at KPMG from January 2011 to March 2011.

Michael Poiani, CPA obtained their Master of Accounting degree with a Minor in Finance from the University of Florida in 2012. Michael later obtained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the State of New York in January 2014.
