Marten Meikop

Marten Meikop is an experienced professional with a diverse range of work experience. Marten began their career as a Software Developer at BO-Soft in 2005 before moving on to become an IT Architect at Elion Enterprises Ltd in 2007. In 2011, they joined Proekspert AS as a Team Manager before transitioning to Titanium Systems OÜ in 2014 as a Project Lead.

Marten Meikop's most recent and notable work experience is at Pipedrive, where they started in 2016 as the Head of Engineering, Core Platform and eventually became the Director of Engineering Platform in 2021. In these roles, they were responsible for leading a department of six tribes and 100 engineers, including various platform teams such as SRE and Core services, Storage platform, Product platform, Billing platform, Frontend platform, and Mobile platform. Marten also played a key role in shaping the platform engineering leadership group and wrote the "Pipedrive engineering culture manifesto" document. Additionally, Marten initiated a program to address product slowness caused by product and engineering debt, which involved seven projects spanning a year.

Marten Meikop began their education in 1999, attending Nõo Reaalgümnaasium until 2002. There is no information regarding a degree or field of study at this institution. In 2003, Marten enrolled in TalTech – Tallinn University of Technology where they pursued a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Information Technology. Marten completed their studies in 2007.
